Jabra has just increased its family of Evove2 headsets that are very much oriented towards solutions for desktop computers, with the new Evolve2 30 model that is positioned in the entry range, below the wireless Evolve2 85 and Evolve2 65 , as well as the wired model Evolve2 40.
The
company intends to lower the price of the use of quality headphones with UC
certification (unified communications) within the considered new work and
productivity environments that the pandemic has caused, where teleworking or
students with online classes are included.
According to Jabra, the Evolve range currently has a 60% market share in the sale of UC wireless devices worldwide, with more than 16.5 million units sold.
What are the benefits of the new Evolve2 30?
As we have already anticipated, it is
a wired headset that can be purchased with both a USB-A and USB-C type
connector, in order to facilitate adoption by users with new or older computers.
For
design purposes, the company has endowed the Evolve2 30 with
great flexibility and lightness, with just 125 grams of weight, maintaining a
very contemporary line to the product that, in turn, guarantees a certain
resistance in the part of the headband.
The
size of the helmets is compact, with 28 mm speakers, and they maintain
screen-printed letters on the surface of the pads with the indication of the
left and right speaker. However, it is not difficult to identify them by
detecting the microphone drop-down bar on one of them.
Jabra
has also removed the controls that were typically located on the connecting
cable and integrated them into the headset itself, so that it is more
comfortable to control volume or audio track playback from this point.
If previously it was necessary to
press a button to cancel the sound of the microphone in this range of
headphones, in the Evolve2 30 this is done automatically when the microphone is
extended or retracted.
The
noise cancellation of the Evolve2 30 is passive, but improved compared to the
previous generation Evolve 30, canceling according to Jabra up to 48% more
noise and with the possibility of picking up the voice with 12% more clarity.
Other
extras that the Evolve2 30 inherit from the more professional models are the
dedicated Teams multifunction button to attend notifications or calls, as well
as the integrated light on one side 'Busylight' with which the busy status is
shown.
What is the price and where to buy the Evolve2
30?
The Jabra Evolve2 30 are
positioned as the most economical option in the current range, starting from a
recommended price of € 79 depending on the version, since they are available
with different connection port modalities and in mono headset or stereo mode.
It
is not news that Jabra includes a practical protection case to be able to carry
the protected headphones on your trips. What is new is that the bag is now
offered in black felt material finishes from recycled products.
Who is the Evolve2 30 for?
In general terms, the new normal imposed by the pandemic worldwide has caused both workers and students to get used to video calls and virtual classes from their computers.
It
is in these environments where the use of UC-certified headsets can improve
audio quality, eliminate noise and clear voice conversations whenever you use
them with unified communications programs such as Microsoft's Teams, Zoom or
Google's Meet. .
